Well it shouldn’t be that hard really if you think about these basic things.
1. Environmental Factors-How much sun, shade you have in your yard? Also do you get heavy frost? Will it get plenty of water? Is there any salt in the ground?
2.The intended use for the area. Will it be heavily used to walk or play on?
3.The picture you have in your head of your finished project. Are you being realistic? For example are you after a bowling green look for a large area with only being able to put in 1 hours work in the summer/spring months per 2 weeks.
4.How much money do you have to spend? Investing in a shade tolerant lawn for a shady area from the start will save you money in the long term.
